I don’t really mean freelancing. I mean working remotely for a company.

Not very. It’s possible. But:

- you would have to be very good for a company to put up with the hastle
- you would have to be working largely on a solo project – trying to co-ordinate with your team remotely, can be a challenge. Nothing beats everyone sitting together.

I’ve worked with remote developers before, but it was a one-off project, and they still came into the office every now and then.
